Notice to All Members of AGM

Berkeley Community Sport and Leisure Trust Notice of 1st Annual General Meeting of Berkeley Community Sports & Leisure Trust.

The AGM was held at Hamfields Leisure on Wednesday 27th January 2010 at 7pm.

The new trustees for the Berkeley Community Sports and Leisure Trust are:

• Philip Case
• Carole O’Donnell
• Michael Jenkins
• Keith Palmer
• Carole Weaving

We would like to thank everybody that came along and to all those who have supported the Trust over the past year.

Hamfields Leisure is a new Company set up to operate the Leisure Facilities that were previously managed by Magnox Power Station under the name of Berkeley Nuclear Sports and Social Club.  We are now open to the public and the local community and are looking to expand on the excellent facilities already available.

The Board of Trustees have employed a new management team who are committed to providing an outstanding service for the local communities of Berkeley and surrounding area.

A range of new activities

There will be a range of new activities provided to compliment those that already exist for example:

Our Centre Based activities for the adults will provide aerobics, yoga, pilates, keep fit, circuit training and special recreation sessions to name but a few.

In addition, there will be short mat bowls, table tennis, badminton, skittles, and snooker

Junior activities will include a Saturday morning Kids Club,five- a- side football, netball, mini tennis, tennis, sports and leisure birthday parties.

A number of courses

A number of courses including Badminton and Junior Cricket will be organised for those who wish to learn the game.

Tumble Tots will be held regularly to provide a healthy, active way for your children to learn and have fun.

Many of your old favourites

Many of your old favourites remain a feature of the programme. Social events including Ballroom and Line Dancing, and the energetic Just Jive are already confirmed.

To compliment the above, specialist groups can book the facilities for leisure activities such as the popular Two Tribes country and western events.

Many of the local schools

Many of the local schools are planning to use the facility, so we will build on this with our Summer Playscheme. 

In addition, Hamfields Leisure provides a professional approach to all your meeting conference and training day requirements. Whether it’s simply providing high quality catering or seeking to support your event with team building activities we would be happy to build a tailor made package around your needs.    

We can cater for all ages

We can cater for all ages and our aim is to make this a facility that everyone can enjoy and one in which everyone feels welcome. 

Hamfields Leisure is a local facility run by local people......we need your support.
